Thursday 5th November
Today, our whole household has become slightly fixated on watching those charts showing the red and blue lines change as the votes are still counted in those last few remaining states. Who knew, we would become so captivated by American politics!
Friday 6th November
One day to go and our Isolation will be over! From Isolation to Lockdown!
Today the sun is shining. It’s cold but bright. It doesn’t look quite so bright tomorrow but still dry. Whatever the weather, I will be going for a walk!! I am really looking forward to being out.
The Crownies and the tiffin did not last long! This morning I have made a fruit cake. This recipe is probably my favourite of all cakes. And the children don’t like fruit cake! I’ll make something more to their liking tomorrow but now this cake smells delicious! Just wondering how soon I can eat it. It has been out of the oven for about 20 minutes so its sill pretty warm.

Given it is now just past 12 o clock, perhaps I should have some lunch first and then sit down with a cup of tea, a slice of cake and the church times. Maybe then, that will give me some enthusiasm to get out into the garden and to start sweeping up the constantly falling leaves covering the whole garden.
Over the last few months I have really enjoyed make more time for cooking and gardening. Two things I really enjoy. Leaf raking is not my favourite kind of gardening, but I still love being outside. It is so important to make space for things that replenish you and lift your spirits. With that in mind, I am going to go and cut this cake!!
