29th October – 9 days to go!
It’s nearly 4pm and I haven’t been outside at all! Zero laps of the garden! I have looked out the window a few times, but it just doesn’t seem very enticing today. I have spent a lot of time on the phone (mainly work) and caught up on various admin. Think I might just retreat to the longue now, with a cup of tea and put something ‘nice’ on the TV. Not sure what yet, just something comforting and nice!
Jess is in the kitchen making ‘crownies’ apparently a mix between cookies and brownies. A new recipe she has come across, so we await see what a crownie tastes like! They Have a lot of chocolate in them so that bodes well!! I will keep you posted. Or perhaps you are all familiar with crownies and it is just me who has not come across them before!
It was lovely to be joined by others for Evening prayer on Zoom yesterday evening. We used ‘The Rhythm of Life, Celtic Daily Prayer’ by David Adam. A really lovely mix of prayers for use throughout the day. The included psalm yesterday evening was Psalm 139, a verse from which is my chosen verse for today. A reminder that wherever we are, whatever our circumstances, God is with us…
