28th October – 10 days to go!
There are definite advantages to walking around the garden on a day of heavy showers – its never far to dash when there is a downpour! I walked 10,000 steps round the garden today (7.31K). On average each lap is about 75 steps so I make that about 133 laps. It’s actually surprisingly cathartic when you get into a rhythm.
Mittens (the cat) hasn’t given up on her game. She looks so innocent in this photo. But don’t be fooled! As I approach, she lowers into her best hunting position and then launches, full speed, at the opportune moment. Even the showers didn’t put her off today.
I am being called now to return to a game of Monopoly. I think I am going to struggle to win this one. I have two complete sets so far. The browns and pinks, whilst my opponent already has Mayfair and Park Lane and the Reds! I have a bit more cash at the moment but will it be enough? I fear not if I land on Mayfair!
